Towards Carcassonne is a fantastic variety of wine-growing areas - with the main wine regions being Minervois and Corbieres, but with other pockets of notable wines such as Cotes du Cabardes, Cotes de la Malepere, Blanquette de Limoux. On the coast, choose from Fitou, Cotes du Roussillon, Cotes du Roussillon Villages and La Clape.

Quite a treck but highly recommended by some of our previous guests. If you are heading to the coast, worth a look. The establishment is a bit of a wine "theme park" (see website) - but you do get to sample the wine in the wine shop, in apparently generous portions! |
